WordPress is currently investigating a series of "[...] suspicious commits to several popular plugins (AddThis, WPtouch, and W3 Total Cache) containing cleverly disguised backdoors. We determined the commits were not from the authors, rolled them back, pushed updates to the plugins, and shut down access to the plugin repository while we looked for anything else unsavory." I have a few WordPress sites and they are prompting me to update WPtouch and W3 Total Cache. Usually, I just do the automatic updates but it sounds like the current versions have a backdoor?
W3 Total Cache You have version 0.9.2.2 installed. Update to 0.9.2.3. WPtouch You have version 1.9.27 installed. Update to 1.9.29. |
